FAQ

1 Main Road, Jozini, KwaZulu-Natal 3969, on a hilltop above Lake Jozini on the Elephant Coast.

Take the N2 north past Richards Bay, Mtubatuba, Hluhluwe and Mkuze. 10km past Mkuze turn right at the Jozini sign and continue 19km over the Lebombo Mountain Pass. Roughly 300km.

About 500km, or five hours. Take the N4 or N12 to Witbank, the N11 to Ermelo, then the N2 through Piet Retief and Pongola towards Mkhuze.

King Shaka International Airport in Durban, 312km away.

From 14:00. Check out is before 10:00. The gate is open 24 hours, but let the lodge know if you will arrive after 18:00.

Yes, available 08h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday. It is not monitored after hours or over weekends.

Finding Us On The Elephant Coast

Nearest airport: 312km from King Shaka International Airport

From Durban, approximately 300km, 3 hours

  • Take the N2 freeway heading north. Sign boards will indicate Stanger.
  • Continue on the N2 past Richards Bay, Mtubatuba, Hluhluwe and Mkuze.
  • 10km past the town of Mkuze you will see a right turn indicating Jozini.
  • Turn right at the sign board and continue for 19km over the Lebombo Mountain Pass.
  • As you enter Jozini, with the SAPS on your right, turn left onto a gravel road.
  • Travel a further 100m to the Jozini Tiger Lodge security checkpoint and gate.

 

From Johannesburg, approximately 500km, 5 hours

  • Take the N4 or N12 towards Witbank and Middelburg.
  • Follow signs to the N11 heading to Hendrina and Ermelo.
  • Follow signs to the N2 to Piet Retief and Pongola.
  • From Pongola continue on the N2 towards Mkhuze, following the signs to Jozini.
  • 10km before Mkhuze there will be a sign indicating Jozini.
  • Turn left at the Jozini sign and continue for 19km over the Lebombo Mountain Pass.
  • As you enter Jozini, with the SAPS on your right, turn left onto a gravel road.
  • Travel a further 100m to the Jozini Tiger Lodge security checkpoint and gate.
