From pre-arrival, the establishment made contact with us anticipating our arrival and on arrival the rooms were prepared with little treats.
Our stay was nothing short of amazing because the staff went over and beyond to ensure we were catered for.
Aus Sinai in the kitchen made the most delicious steamed bread we have ever had.
Mr Mnisi gave us the game drive which became the highlight of our stay spotting zebras, Boks, wildebeest, giraffes and many more animals.

Mount Savannah is situated on a beautiful spot with a stunning sunrise/sunset view and magnificent natural and historical attractions close by. Private and luxurious vibe. The included game drive is lots of fun. On top of that the service is absolutely fantastic. The staff really go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay, from the moment you’re greeted by reception to the moment you leave. Meals are freshly prepared and the variety of side dishes to go with your evening braai are delicious and more than enough. The upkeep of the garden, pools and braai area are also impeccable. Thank you Agnus, Michael and team, we had an absolute lovely time.

We had a great time at Mount Savannah. The staff are all amazing and friendly. The food was great, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The game drive was a plus. The view and fresh air was a plus too. It’s quiet just what we needed. We had long walks in the morning and late in the afternoon and it was refreshing. I guess in summer it must be breathtaking. Sunset and sunrise is awesome as well.
The bedroom was cosy. You can have your meals in the room if you want. We enjoyed our stay and it was a surprise holiday for us and we didn’t know what to expect and we appreciate and enjoyed the breakaway. Thanks to our children Lenin and Becky for the memorable gift. We had a great time 😘❤️🥰🫠💃

We had a wonderful stay at Mount Savannah. Cozy fire in lounge, peacefulness and quietness tops the list of what I liked. ​A big shout out to Agnes who went above and beyond. Great hostess skills and her hospitality truly went above the norm. She has an incredible eye for detail and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even had to ask – she went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for my cousin and I. Thank you, Agnes!

A tranquil and charming retreat, Mount Savannah Game Lodge offers the perfect blend of serenity and comfort just outside Johannesburg in the Cradle of Humankind. Our deluxe cottage was spacious, with a separate lounge and a deck overlooking breathtaking mountain views. The lodge is beautifully kept, with intimate dining and lounge areas, two pools, a kids’ zone, a welcoming boma, and convenient self‑catering options. Optional game drives and massages add to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, and Agnes’s service was truly outstanding. A well‑run lodge with thoughtful touches — highly recommended for a peaceful getaway close to the city.
