FAQ

Oaklands on the Knoll is at 4972 Upper Gray Street, Lellieskloof, Knysna, in the Western Cape. The complex sits about 500 metres from the centre of Knysna, on the Garden Route between George and Plettenberg Bay.

George Airport is approximately 85km from Oaklands on the Knoll, following the N2 east towards Knysna. Plettenberg Bay is about thirty minutes away, and Port Elizabeth roughly a two-and-a-half hour drive.

Reception at Oaklands on the Knoll is open Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00 and Saturday from 08h00 to 12h00, and is closed on Sundays. Guests arriving outside those hours should call ahead to arrange key collection.

Check-in at Oaklands on the Knoll is from 14:00 and check-out is before 10:00. Late check-out is possible by arrangement and carries an hourly surcharge. Call the resort directly to arrange a late departure.

The turn-off is marked by a small signboard on the hill at the fourth speed bump, which is not clearly visible after dark. Guests arriving at night should call the resort on arrival so that someone can help them in.

Pets are welcome in designated pet-friendly units only and must be arranged in advance. One pet per unit is permitted, subject to size and weight limits, an additional fee per stay, and the resort’s full pet policy.

From George Airport (approximately 85km)

  • Continue along the N2 in an easterly direction heading towards Knysna.
  • As you cross the first bridge coming into Knysna, continue on the N2, which leads directly into the heart of the town.
  • From that bridge, pass through three sets of traffic lights. At the fourth set on the Main Road, turn left into Gray Street. First National Bank is on the right-hand side.
  • Continue up the hill for 1.1km and go over the fourth speed bump.
  • Turn left into a small road; the entrance to Oaklands is a few metres away.
  • There is a small signboard on the hill at the fourth speed bump, but it is not clearly visible after dark. Please call +27 (0)76 358 3396 to gain access.
