Facilities at Blue Marlin All-Inclusive Seascape

Blue Marlin is built so a day can be spent entirely on the property without anyone getting bored. The spa and its wet areas sit on the ground floor beside reception. The pools, the water slides and the courts are out on the lawns. The gym runs from five in the morning for anyone keeping a routine, and the cinema room fills up after dinner.

Almost everything here is included in the all-inclusive rate. Spa treatments, the curio shop and babysitting are charged separately, and the Adventure Desk will tell you which is which.

Two Pools, and a Super Tube That Settles the Afternoon

The activity pool carries the water slides and the super tube, and it is where most of the shouting happens. Next to it the relaxation pool is heated and held between 25 and 28 degrees all year, which makes it usable in the middle of winter. Loungers cannot be reserved, and any left unoccupied for more than half an hour are cleared and stored at reception.

Three Kids' Clubs, Split by Age

Mini Marlins takes the toddlers, with a snack fridge, a microwave for sterilising bottles and a changing area. Beach Bums covers five to twelve with arts and crafts, table tennis, a jungle gym and consoles signed out at the Adventure Desk. Surf Vibes belongs to the teenagers and stays open from seven in the morning until eleven at night.

Fitness and Recreation

A Gym That Opens Before the Sun Does

The fitness centre sits beside the beach entrance gate and runs from five in the morning until ten at night, with treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing and stepping machines, free weights and mats. Alongside it, the multi-purpose court takes everything from action cricket to volleyball, and the nine-hole putt-putt course runs along the lawn beside the pools.

Unwind at the Mangwanani Dream Spa

Massages, body scrubs, manicures and pedicures on the ground floor beside reception, with the jacuzzi, infrared sauna, steam room and relaxation area grouped alongside. Treatments run by appointment and the spa asks guests to book well ahead.

Do More on the South Coast

One adventure activity a day comes with every stay, and the Adventure Desk books everything else, from a dive charter at Rocky Bay to a tee time at Selborne.

Adventure Activity Centre

Just past the putt-putt course, the centre runs archery, crossbow shooting and airgun target shooting, with a safe gel water option for smaller children. Every family gets one complimentary round a day, and extra ammunition carries a small charge. Children under 12 need an adult with them.

Full PADI dive qualifications and a Resort Course for first-timers, with Bubble Makers introducing younger children to diving safely. If diving is not for you, there are dolphin swims, snorkelling and whale viewing from the boat. Based on the ground floor across from reception.

Pools and Slides

An activity pool carrying the water slides and a super tube, alongside a heated relaxation pool held between 25 and 28 degrees all year. Inflatables and pool accessories are available. Loungers left unoccupied for over 30 minutes are cleared and stored at reception.

Across from reception, the cinema room screens family films from older favourites to newer releases, with popcorn to go alongside. Screenings follow the daily entertainment programme rather than fixed times, so check the schedule at the Adventure Desk when you arrive.

Multi-Purpose Play Court

Beside the pools, the court takes action cricket, tennis, volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton and bowls. Join a scheduled session or sign equipment out at the Adventure Desk and organise your own game. Runs until 18:00 at the latest, weather permitting.

Putt-Putt

Nine holes laid out on the lawn beside the pools, each with its own twists and obstacles. Sign putters and balls out at the Adventure Desk against a deposit, refunded when the equipment comes back. Open 09:00 to 18:00 and reliably competitive.

Straight across the resort lawns and through the beach gate. Lifeguards are on duty and shark nets are in place, and the temperate South Coast climate makes it swimmable well into winter.

A short walk from the resort, with 12km of established trails that can be walked alone or with a ranger. The Mpambinyoni River runs through several ecosystems, birdlife is abundant, and there are braai spots for a family picnic.

No. Treatments at the Mangwanani Dream Spa are charged separately from the all-inclusive rate at Blue Marlin. The jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and relaxation area alongside it are available to guests by appointment through reception.

Yes. The infrared sauna and the steam room at Blue Marlin are reserved for guests aged 16 and older. The jacuzzi is for adults only. All three run by appointment, so book your slot at reception when you arrive.

The relaxation pool is heated and held between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius year-round. The activity pool alongside it carries the water slides and super tube and is not heated. Both are open from 07:00 to 20:00.

The fitness centre at Blue Marlin opens at 05:00 and closes at 22:00. It sits at the bottom of the resort beside the beach entrance gate. Children under twelve need an adult with them, and gym attire is required.

Yes. Babysitting can be arranged at Blue Marlin with at least 24 hours’ notice so a sitter can be matched to your family. A minimum booking of three hours applies, with an hourly rate after that until 23:00. It is charged separately.
