What We Set Out to Do

Supporting Local Growth on the South Coast

Blue Marlin plays an active part in the revival of Scottburgh as a destination. A steady flow of guests through an all-inclusive resort supports local employment, brings work to surrounding communities and creates demand for regional suppliers and services.

That reaches past the property itself, into hospitality jobs, partnerships with activity operators and trade with small businesses in the area. Guests also join in directly: the knitting initiative runs from the Adventure Desk, where guests take a basket and make beanies and scarves for local charities.

Younger guests are taught the reasoning behind the policies and take part in beach clean-ups, with the Eco Warrior badge built into the Dream Xplorers programme.
