Bush Comfort Without the Camp Chores

Every unit at Jackalberry Ridge is a self-catering safari tent built on a permanent base, with a built-in brick bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. You get the canvas and the night sounds that come with it, and a proper bath, a stove, a fridge and an air fryer to cook with.

Each tent has its own viewing deck, a lapa with a dining table and braai facilities, a splash pool and shaded parking, and the units are serviced through the week. Sizes run from an intimate tent for a couple up to a maxi tent that takes eight, so a family or a group of friends can spread out without splitting up. Ground level units are available, and some tents have stairs to the bedroom and lounge, so tell us at booking if steps are a problem.

Serviced caravan and camping sites sit on the same grounds for guests who would rather bring their own setup, each with a private ablution and its own splash pool.

Each tent has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a lounge, a viewing deck, a lapa with braai facilities and a splash pool. Linen, bath towels, a hairdryer, a safe, ceiling fans and shaded parking are included. Swimming towels are not supplied.

Yes. Housekeeping runs Monday to Saturday, with no service on Sundays and a limited service on public holidays. Campsite ablutions and braai areas are serviced on the same schedule.

Yes. Jackalberry Ridge is fully self-catering and there is no shop, restaurant or bar on the property. Marloth Park has a small grocer, a liquor store, a petrol station and several restaurants, but stocking up before you arrive is the easier option.

The maxi safari tent at Jackalberry Ridge sleeps up to eight, made up of four adults and four children under twelve. It has a main tent and a side tent, each with its own en suite bathroom.

No. Pets are not permitted at the tented camp. A no-smoking policy also applies, and camp cots can be arranged on request when you book.

Yes. Wi-Fi is available in the units and in the entertainment area at Jackalberry Ridge. Coverage depends on power, so it can be interrupted while the resort is running on generator.
