A Coastal Venue for Team Building, Functions and Business Meetings

Blue Marlin is the only all-inclusive resort on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, which changes what a conference costs to plan. Meals, beverages, activities and entertainment are included, so a delegate day prices cleanly and there is no running tab to reconcile afterwards.

The resort sits forty minutes south of Durban and within walking distance of Scottburgh Beach. Sessions run indoors, and the rest of the day has somewhere to go: the pools, the beach, the Adventure Activity Centre and the Mangwanani Dream Spa are all on site.

Team building at Blue Marlin uses what the resort already runs. The Adventure Activity Centre handles archery, crossbow and airgun target shooting. The multi-purpose court takes anything from action cricket to volleyball. Blue Ocean Adventures runs snorkelling and dive experiences off the boat, and the beach adds surfing, paddleboarding and a volleyball net. Evenings fall into place on their own, between the themed dinners and the big screens at Coconut Cove Lounge.

The Curtis Room at Blue Marlin seats a maximum of 100 guests. Capacity varies by set-up, so confirm your preferred layout when you request a quote. The resort has more than 100 rooms, so a full delegation can stay on the property.

The venue comes air-conditioned with Wi-Fi, a projector and screen, a podium, tea and coffee service and secure parking. Because Blue Marlin is all-inclusive, delegate meals and beverages are included, which makes a day rate straightforward to cost.

Yes. The Adventure Activity Centre, the multi-purpose court, the beach and Blue Ocean Adventures all run on site at Blue Marlin in Scottburgh, so team activities do not need transport or a separate supplier.

Blue Marlin is about forty minutes south of Durban by car and 108km from King Shaka International Airport, on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. Scottburgh sits just off the N2, which makes it straightforward for delegates driving in.

Yes, and many do. Blue Marlin runs three supervised kids’ clubs by age band alongside the conference facilities, so a delegate can extend a work trip into a family weekend without arranging anything separately.
