How guests can help

Guests support Langkloof directly through Play it Forward, which collects unused toys, books, sports equipment and school stationery. Blanket and winter clothing drives run through the colder months, and the resort hosts an annual Christmas party for the children. Ask at reception what is most needed before you travel.

A care scheme at the Langkloof settlement in the Northern Drakensberg for orphaned and vulnerable children. It grew from a small refuge into a site with a kitchen, running water, a creche and a primary school.

The resort is the scheme’s primary benefactor. It pays half the wages of the supervisor and her staff, covers daily running costs, and supplies twice-daily meals for local school children.
