Take Beyers Naude Drive towards Muldersdrift, join the N14 towards Krugersdorp, then turn right onto the R563 and continue for five kilometres. The Mount Savannah entrance is on the right, followed by a two kilometre dirt road inside the gate.

The final approach to Mount Savannah is a two kilometre dirt road inside the reserve gate. Keep right and do not turn off. Allow extra time, particularly after dark or after heavy rain.

Let Mount Savannah know in advance if you expect to arrive after 17:00, so access to the reserve can be arranged for you. Check-in is from 14:00 and the lodge is reached through a controlled gate.

From Johannesburg

  • Take Beyers Naude Drive (M5) towards Muldersdrift until you reach the Krugersdorp Pretoria (N14) highway.
  • Turn on to the N14 towards Krugersdorp.
  • At the first set of traffic lights, by the Sasol garage, turn right onto the N14 and drive for 10.2km.
  • At the T-junction, by the Zenex garage, turn right onto the R563 and drive for 5km.
  • The entrance to Mount Savannah will be on your right.
  • Go through the gate and keep right, following the dirt road for 2km. Do not turn off.
