The indoor venues at Olifants River Lodge take from 40 up to 500 guests depending on which room you use and how it is laid out, and the outdoor terrace holds up to 120 for a ceremony.

Yes. The outdoor terrace is set up for ceremonies with the river valley behind it, and the indoor venues then take the reception, so a change in the weather does not change the plan.

On the property. Olifants River Lodge has thatched rondavels, log cabins, cabanas and two and three-bedroom self-catering apartments, with self-catering, breakfast, lunch and dinner options available.

Catering is arranged directly with Olifants River Lodge and quoted to your day, since menus and guest numbers vary. Contact the venue team to discuss what you have in mind.

Yes. The function rooms at Olifants River Lodge are decorated or draped to suit the occasion, which is what lets the same space work for a wedding, a gala dinner or a milestone birthday.

Olifants River Lodge is under two hours from Johannesburg and Pretoria, on the R555 between Middelburg and Emalahleni, which makes it a realistic drive for guests coming out for the day.
