A Passport, a Champion and Thirty Things To Do

Kids of all ages can become an Xplorer alongside Kamo the Chameleon. Sign up at reception on arrival and the digital passport becomes the way into everything happening at the reserve. Complete activities, earn badges, and collect a reward for each category finished.

HOW IT WORKS

Five Steps From Reception to a Prize

Sign up at reception on arrival. Children get access to the Dream Xplorers digital passport.

Complete activities across the reserve. Each one earns a Kamo credit.

The Dream Xplorers Champion ticks each credit off on the child’s profile.

Finish a whole category and the virtual badge appears, with a prize voucher.

Claim the prize from the Champion. Categories can be completed across as many Dream Hotels and Resorts properties as a family visits.

Who Runs It and How

Who runs it: A Dream Xplorers Champion at the lodge manages sign-up, tracks each child's profile and hands over the rewards.
Where sign-up happens: At reception on arrival, not online.
Is there a separate play area: Yes, at Strolla, for children under ten, with a parent indemnity.
Guided activities: Badge activities including the game drive, bush walk and canoeing are the reserve's standard guided activities, which run with a guide and are weather dependent.
Separate childcare: Babysitting is available on request and is a different service from the badge programme.

FAQ

How do children join Dream Xplorers?

Sign up at reception on arrival at Finfoot Lake Reserve. Children get a digital passport that tracks the activities they complete, managed by the Dream Xplorers Champion.

Does it cost anything?

Signing up for Dream Xplorers is part of staying at Finfoot Lake Reserve. Some guided activities that count towards badges, such as game drives, are booked and charged separately at reception.

What do children actually do?

Six badge categories cover bush walks, canoeing, a scavenger hunt, bird houses around the reserve, face painting, a marshmallow braai, stargazing, giant Jenga, bird bingo and planting a tree, among others.

What do they win?

A reward comes with each completed category at Finfoot Lake Reserve, building from a small treat at the first level to a Dream Xplorer hat once all six are finished.

Can we carry on at another Dream resort?

Yes. The Dream Xplorers passport travels with the child, so categories started at Finfoot Lake Reserve can be continued at any participating Dream Hotels and Resorts property.
