A Digital Passport, Six Badges and a Chameleon

Dream Xplorers is the group’s kids’ programme, and it runs on a digital passport. Children of any age sign up at reception when they arrive, meet Kamo the Chameleon, and then work their way through the activities at the resort. Every completed activity earns a Kamo credit, every full category earns a badge, and badges turn into real prizes at reception. Credits carry across the group, so a family that visits more than one Dream property keeps the same passport going.

HOW IT WORKS

Credits, Badges, Prizes, In That Order

Every completed activity earns you a Kamo credit which your Dream Xplorer Champion will tick off on your profile so that you can keep track of what you have completed. Once you have earned enough Kamo credits to complete an activity category, you will earn a virtual badge and your profile will reflect that you have a prize voucher which you can redeem from your Dream Xplorers Champion. You can complete these categories at as many Dream Hotels & Resorts properties as you want.

Sign up at reception on arrival to get your digital passport and access to the Dream Xplorers app.

Complete an activity and your Dream Xplorer Champion ticks off a Kamo credit against your profile, so you can see what you have done.

Collect enough credits to finish a whole category and you earn a virtual badge, and your profile shows a prize voucher.

Redeem the voucher with your Dream Xplorer Champion at the resort.

Categories can be completed across as many Dream Hotels and Resorts properties as you like, so the passport travels with the family.

Who runs it

A Dream Xplorer Champion at the resort signs children up, records credits and hands out the prize vouchers.

Where sign-up happens

At reception, on arrival. There is no online sign-up.

Supervised activities

Archery at the resort is supervised by an instructor throughout.

WHERE IT HAPPENS

The Dream Xplorers Clubhouse

The clubhouse holds a games room with foosball, gaming consoles, table tennis and air hockey, and is where the supervised sessions run. Arts and crafts, bug hunts, pond fishing, kids walks and movie nights with marshmallow roasting all run from here through the week.

* Babysitting is available by pre-booking as an optional extra and is not part of the badge programme.

Mini Marlins (up to 4)

Imaginative play, arts and crafts and games, with a fridge of snacks, a microwave for sterilising bottles and a changing area. In the Kids Club Arena.

Beach Bums (5 to 12)

PlayStation and Xbox, table tennis, a jungle gym and an arts and crafts section, supervised by the entertainment team. In the Kids Club Arena.

Surf Vibes (13 and over)

A teen space with consoles, table tennis and pool, open 07:00 to 23:00. Adults are welcome to join a game.

The Dream Xplorers journey begins upon arrival at the resort, where xplorers can sign up to gain access to the Dream Xplorers App. Simply ask at reception to begin.

FAQ

What is Dream Xplorers?

Dream Xplorers is the kids’ programme across Dream Hotels and Resorts, built around a digital passport. Children earn credits for completing activities at the resort, credits become badges, and badges become prizes collected from the Dream Xplorer Champion.

How does my child sign up?

Sign-up happens in person at reception when you arrive at Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort, not online in advance. Reception sets up the digital passport and gives you access to the Dream Xplorers app.

Does it cost anything to join?

There is no charge stated for joining the programme itself. Some of the resort activities a child might complete carry their own small fee, which is confirmed at reception when the activity is booked.

What can my child win?

Rewards at Piekenierskloof run from a round of mini golf for one completed category through a slushy, a milkshake, a t-shirt and a cap, up to a kids’ meal for completing all six. Vouchers are redeemed at the resort.

Can we carry on at another Dream resort?

Yes. Activity categories can be completed across as many Dream Hotels and Resorts properties as you visit, and the passport keeps track, so a badge started on the mountain can be finished at the coast.
