With our digital passport, kids of all ages can become an Xplorer just like Kamo the Chameleon. Sign up when you arrive at The Peninsula and the passport becomes the gateway to the activities running at the hotel. The more activities your child completes, the more badges they earn, and enough badges brings a reward. It gives the afternoon a shape, and it gives you an hour on the pool deck.

Every completed activity earns a Kamo credit, which the Dream Xplorers Champion ticks off on the profile.

The Rooms The Programme Runs In

Several of the categories run in the Tech Room, which is open to Peninsula guests only and holds gaming consoles including Xbox, Xbox One and PlayStation along with tablet stations. The games room takes the table tennis and the pool competition, and the family walk starts across the road on the promenade. Strolla has a supervised play area for children under ten, with a parent indemnity to sign.

Who runs the programme: A Dream Xplorers Champion at the resort, who tracks credits and issues the rewards.
Where does sign-up happen: At reception on arrival. Sign-up is not available online.
Is there a separate play area: Yes, at Strolla, for children under ten, with a parent indemnity.
Is babysitting part of the programme: No. Babysitting is a separate service and is arranged through reception.

What is Dream Xplorers?

Dream Xplorers is the kids programme run across Dream Hotels and Resorts properties, including The Peninsula in Sea Point. Children sign up on arrival and work through activity categories, earning a badge for each one and a reward voucher to go with it.

How do children sign up?

Sign-up happens at the resort, not online. Ask at reception on arrival and your child is given access to the Dream Xplorers app and a digital passport, which is where the activities and the badges are tracked.

What activities are on offer at The Peninsula?

Six categories run at the hotel: Active Xplorer, Treasure Hunter, Kamo Challenge, Tech Xplorer, Family Fun and Eco Warrior. Each has five activities, from bowling and puzzle building to Xbox competitions, arts and crafts and a nature quiz.

How do the badges work?

Every completed activity earns a Kamo credit, which the Dream Xplorers Champion ticks off on the profile. Complete five activities in a category and you earn that category’s virtual badge, plus a prize voucher to redeem from the Champion.

What are the rewards?

Rewards climb with each category completed at The Peninsula: a milkshake, then a kids pizza, then a mystery prize draw, then a Dream Xplorers t-shirt, then a hat, and finally a canvas printed picture for all six.

Can badges be earned at more than one property?

Yes. Categories can be completed at as many Dream Hotels and Resorts properties as you visit, so progress carries from one holiday to the next and children can pick up where they left off at a different resort.
