Coffee In The Morning, Cocktails As The Sun Goes Down

Sea Point eats out, and The Peninsula sits in the middle of it. Strolla opens early for coffee on the way back from a run along the promenade, keeps going through lunch and sushi, and hands over to the gin bar and the deck as the light drops over the Atlantic. Inside the hotel, Faces Restaurant and Bar handles breakfast, lunch and dinner with local ingredients and a bar built for staying a while. Both are open to the public as well as to guests. And because every suite has a kitchen, there is always the option of a grocery delivery and a night in on the balcony.

FAQ

There are two venues on site in Sea Point. Strolla sits alongside the hotel on the pool deck and runs from early coffee through lunch, sushi and cocktails. Faces Restaurant and Bar is inside the hotel and covers breakfast through dinner.

Booking is a good idea, particularly in the evening and over weekends. Strolla takes reservations online through its own booking widget, and Faces takes them by email. Walk-ins are welcome when there is space.

Yes. Room service runs 24 hours at The Peninsula, and in-suite dining is available alongside it. It is one of the reasons the hotel suits late arrivals and long-haul flights, when the last thing anyone wants is to go out again.

Yes. Both venues are open to the public as well as to hotel guests, and Strolla in particular is a Sea Point local as much as a hotel restaurant. Booking ahead is worth doing if you are coming in from elsewhere in Cape Town.

Both venues welcome families, and Strolla has a supervised kids play area for children under ten, with an indemnity form signed by a parent. The suites are all self-catering, so a quiet night in with something simple is always an option.

Yes. Strolla serves sushi alongside its coffee and light meals, and has a gin bar for the drink that goes with it. It is one of the venue’s better-known draws in Sea Point and works well for a quick bite off the promenade.
