Zimbali Lodge & Spa boasts five versatile, state-of-the-art function rooms of various sizes available. Each venue boasts views of the stunning gardens or spectacular mountains. Large windows let in natural light and high ceiling create an airy atmosphere, which, combined with the wonderful air conditioners, ensure a comfortable working environment. These venues can be set up in Banquet style, U-shaped Cinema style and Classroom style. We also configure custom arrangements according to your specifications and individual needs.

How many delegates can Zimbali Lodge hold?

The largest venue, Imbizo, seats up to 60 in theatre or reception style and 50 at banquet. Umgeni takes up to 20 and the Tugela boardroom seats 8. The lodge is set up for small and mid-sized groups rather than large conventions.

What is included in a day conference package?

Arrival, mid-morning and afternoon tea, coffee and snacks, lunch, screen and projector, flip chart, notepads and pens, bottled water and mints, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and parking throughout. Ask the sales team for the current rate.

How far is Zimbali Lodge from the airport?

About 19.4km from King Shaka International Airport, roughly 20 minutes by road, which makes it workable for delegates flying in and out on the same day. Ballito is five minutes away.

Do delegates need anything to get into the estate?

Yes. Zimbali Coastal Estate is gated. Guests are sent an SMS access code the day before and the North Gate asks for a driver’s licence and booking confirmation, so it is worth briefing delegates before they travel.

Can we combine a conference with team building or golf?

Yes. The championship course at Zimbali Country Club is on the estate, along with tennis, squash, padel and a gym at the Bushbuck Club and treatments at Mangwanani Dream Spa. The sales team builds these into the quote.

Is catering handled in-house?

Yes. Catering comes from the Eleven Tribes kitchen at Zimbali Lodge & Spa, and evening functions can be arranged with theme dinners and wine pairings.
