The Bush, At Child Height

Dream Xplorers is the group’s kids’ programme, and every Dream Hotels and Resorts property runs its own version of it. At Mjejane that means spoor moulds, bird feeders, creepy-crawly walks and a mammal list to fill in, all of it built around a game reserve on the Kruger boundary. Children collect a passport when they arrive and work through the activities inside it with an activities champion on hand. Enough completed activities earns a badge, and enough badges puts them in line for a prize.

The Rooms The Programme Runs In

Several of the categories run in the Tech Room, which is open to Peninsula guests only and holds gaming consoles including Xbox, Xbox One and PlayStation along with tablet stations. The games room takes the table tennis and the pool competition, and the family walk starts across the road on the promenade. Strolla has a supervised play area for children under ten, with a parent indemnity to sign.

  • Where does sign-up happen: At reception on arrival. Sign-up is not available online.
  • Is there a separate play area: Yes, at Strolla, for children under ten, with a parent indemnity.
  • Is babysitting part of the programme: No. Babysitting is a separate service and is arranged through reception.

Dream Xplorers is the children’s programme run across Dream Hotels and Resorts. Children collect a passport at reception and complete activities during their stay to earn badges and go in for prizes. Each property has its own passport and its own activity set.

Children pick up a Dream Xplorers passport from reception when they arrive at Mjejane Bush Camp. There is nothing to book in advance and no online sign-up, so it can be arranged on the day you check in.

The Mjejane Bush Camp passport includes making a spoor mould, building a bird feeder, completing a mammal list, treasure hunts, sports and pool games, and working towards a junior ranger certificate.

An activities champion at Mjejane Bush Camp guides children through the passport activities. Parents should confirm supervision arrangements and age suitability with reception on arrival, particularly for younger children.
