The Camp Diary

Mjejane Bush Camp is a self-catering camp in a working game reserve, so the rhythm of a week here is set mostly by the drive timetable and the weather. When the camp does put something on, whether that is a seasonal special or a holiday activity for the children, it will be listed here. Speak to reception or central reservations if you are planning around a particular date.

Strolla and the pool deck open up for private functions, with the timber deck, the bar and the water on one side and Beach Road on the other. It is the space people book for a birthday, an anniversary or the drinks before a wedding.

Guided game drives leave Mjejane Bush Camp four times a day, and the clubhouse, games room, pool, outdoor gym and putt-putt are open throughout. The riverine forest along the Crocodile River makes for good birding without leaving camp.

No. Mjejane Bush Camp is a self-catering camp in Mjejane Game Reserve and has no conference or function venue. Groups book chalets, and the larger units sleep up to ten guests with a boma area and braai.

Families and groups regularly take several chalets together at Mjejane Bush Camp. Each chalet has its own boma or braai area, and the clubhouse is open to everyone. Speak to central reservations about booking adjoining units.

Book Mjejane Bush Camp as early as you can for school holidays, and arrange game drives with the camp before you travel. Sunset drives in particular are usually taken up about three weeks in advance.
